Hemi Waerea

Hemi is currently working on the Te Marautanga o Aotearoa Project in two capacities. He is currently the Online communities facilitator managing the online community for this project He is also the National coordinator for the 6 Regional Coordinators supporting schools around the country to unpack Te Marautanga o Aotearoa. Hemi has recently completed his Masters in Education and is happy to be free of assignments for the mean time.

In his past life he was a National facilitator for the ICT PD project and before that a classroom teacher in both English and Maori medium settings.a.

Hemi hails from a little place just south of Rotorua called Te Horohoroinga o nga ringaringa a Kahumatamomoe.  Being the ninth in a family of eleven children, Hemi has 41 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews (at last count!).  He loves to play tennis, squash and catch up with whanau and friends”.
