Linda Flavell

Linda has contributed to the early childhood sector in various roles including, most recently, head teacher at a kindergarten in Otara, Manukau. Her contribution reflects her commitment to and love of education. As she puts it, she gets “ a buzz from empowering others to learn and achieve”.

Along with her passion for education, Linda has a particular interest in the pedagogical use of ICT in the early childhood sector. Her role as the Auckland facilitator for the ECE PL programme means she will be helping to extend the learning community in the sector and be part of a community of practice that is dynamic and ever changing.

While the Coromandel Peninsula is her spiritual home, Linda lives and works in Howick, Auckland with her husband and two children. She enjoys walking early in the morning, swimming, reading, gardening and supporting her children’s various sporting activities.
