Natasha Edwards (Tash)

Tash joined the CORE team at the end of April, to fill the position of PA/Office Administrator. Before coming to CORE Tash was working for Antarctic NZ, and before that she worked at CPIT, where she was PA to Ali Hughes (CORE’s General Manager) and the Administrator for Ali’s Student Services Team. Tash is suited to her job because she likes to get involved in all aspects of the organisation, and enjoys working with people. She describes it as “mucking in”, not a bad description of a day at CORE Education!
Tash was born and raised in Southbrook, Rangiora, but after a stint overseas she now lives in Christchurch. Tash likes to spend time outdoors, tramping and mountain biking are firm favourites, but the big goal in her life at the moment is too learn how to fly.
Tash also loves to travel, her most recent adventure being a trip to Scott Base, Antarctica. She says the best parts of this trip were getting my ski-doo licence, driving a Hagglund, visiting Scott’s two historical huts, building and then sleeping in a snow cave she built, and of course ice-fishing.
Tash spent four years overseas, during this time she worked at the International Gymnastics Camp for a couple of summers and spent the rest of her time working and playing in London. On her way home she spent three months in Africa travelling from Nairobi to South Africa, and side tracked to Uganda to do the gorilla trek.
Tash is already planning her next big trip, which is a trip to South America. She says this trip is still very much in the early planning stage!
