iNVENTIONATOR is a five-week team based challenge for students and professional learning experience for teachers. iNVENTIONATOR also offers the opportunity for whānau and community to contribute to student learning. The processes undertaken replicate elements of solution incubation commonly used in industry to activate and grow innovation, modified for students and learning contexts of schoolsʻ curriculum and delivery.

At the heart of the iNVENTIONATOR process is a three-phased approach to innovation designed to enable learners to solve real life problems that matter to them, by generating accelerated technological solutions.

Phase One

Teacher induction through an immersive professional learning experience, so they build competencies and capabilities and are prepared for phase two.

Phase Two

In-school implementation of the programme. This phase can be from two to four weeks long. From this phase students and teachers are selected to participate in phase three.

Phase Three

A two-day collaborative event with industry designed to accelerate outcomes.
