Sharon Carlson

Prior to joining the CORE team in October 2006, Sharon provided ICT professional development and support for the Waikato Kindergarten Association and staff at Hillcrest Kindergarten in Hamilton where she was Head Teacher for 2 years.

Sharon’s professional drive and experience has brought her to her current role as ECE PL ICT Facilitator for the central North Island. This role provides Sharon with the opportunity to challenge and support teachers to extend their skills and knowledge in ICT whilst also stretching her as she continues her own learning journey.

In Hamilton, Sharon shares her home with her husband of twenty years, Richard, her two teenage children and two cats. She enjoys shopping, relaxing with family and friends, watching Grey’s Anatomy and ROVE, listening to Bon Jovi and the odd bought of water skiing when the water temperature permits.
